Apple users just can’t keep calm when it comes to new iPhone models. Although we are a year away from the release of the iPhone 14, we already have a lot of rumors and leaks circulating the market.
One such rumor claims iPhone 14 adopt the ProMotion feature, which made its debut in 2018. The said feature had received a good response from Apple users and fans.
The ProMotion feature has been in demand on iPhones for a while and Apple is yet to respond on that front.
Is iPhone 14 getting the Apple ProMotion feature?
As mentioned before, the ProMotion feature was first introduced by Apple in 2018. For those who don’t know ProMotion refers to variable refresh rate technology. Apple uses this technology on some of its devices.
The purpose of variable refresh rate technology is to let the device render as many frames as the content supports. This is to give a smooth viewing experience to users and that too without exhausting the battery.
Let’s say, you are watching a 60 fps video, the display will stick to 60Hz. But when you play a 120 fps game, the display will go up to 120Hz.
Apple launched a high-refresh display to support 5G. Ever since then, everyone is expecting Apple to include ProMotion display technology in the new iPhone models including iPhone 14 which is supposed to release in 2022.
However, the tech giant is yet to make an official announcement. Until they do so, this information cannot be considered anything more than a rumor.
The ProMotion feature from Apple is designed to give an enhanced viewing experience to users. iPhone 14 is rumored to come with many important changes and the ProMotion display could be one of them. But for now, we don’t have further information on this topic.
